Fine guide to wild food Fantastic book great illustrations and a nice size to have in your rucksack. Really good that it points outs poisonous plants as well as edible ones.
Food for free A classic - pity that the illustrations are not as clear as they could be. The artwork could be updated. The way the paperback was "bound" or "stuck together" meant that the pages did not fall open easily; they had to be prised open quite forcably so i wasa afraid that they would come away from the spine.
Fabulous little book
This truly is pocket sized, but don't be put off by that, it is one of it's most useful features! It is crammed with information and the print is not so small as to be difficult to read. The pictures make identification quite easy, along with descriptions. There are even recipes. I'm not sure how so much has been put into so small a book, it's like a mini tardis! If you're looking for a comprehensive guide to edible wild food, buy this book, you won't regret it (especially as it is sooooo cheap anyway).
Free food, fascinating facts Fascinating reading and a real eye opener. I am looking at the hedge outside my back gate with new eyes. I can recommend the rose petal jam, delightful. This book is in my bag now wherever I go, just in case I find something interesting.
Small but handy This is a handy little pocket version to take on your outdoor trips. The pocket size means only a small amount of description text is possible per plant, but it's still very useful. The book still manages to fit in a photo and a drawing per plant, which is good.
