Product ReviewsCustomers have given **SANDISK CRUZER MICRO 2GB an average customer review rating of 4.0 out of 5. The latest reviews have been displayed below. Beware........Not quite as described!! I've just received my Scandisk Cruzer Micro 2GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive via Amazon and after spending an age getting through the usual blister type packaging, I can report that firstly it does NOT look as pictured on Amazon! However if you look at the additional smaller images, pictures 3,4 & 5 are how it looks! Simular but definately not as the main picture. Also it does NOT come with a lanyard. The software is preloaded onto the flash drive (it would help if this was mentioned somewhere so that you don't have to search the bin thinking you have accidentally dispossed of a disc!). The illuminating light is also green NOT blue. Apart from those gripes the flash drive at first use is much faster than my 1GB Scandisk Cruzer Crossfire, so for the price of £8.99 seems a good purchase. It's about 20% smaller with a rubberised feel to it rather than the hard plastic of the Crossfire. Overall a good buy but beware .. NOT quite as advertised. Little is fantastic! I've never gone for small before (I lose things), or decorative (seemed frivolous), or anything less than 4gb (too much hassle selecting out all the files I might need that evening because the entire folder won't fit on my USB stick). But when I happened upon this stick in a shop (actually the 1gb version), I thought "Now COLOURS would be handy. Maybe when I lend this stick to someone else, I'll get it back." And besides, it was super cheap. Now that I've actually used it, I am amazed. The skins do their job: you get three colours (counting the white one), making it easy to keep track of which stick is which. There's a label for your name and phone number, the kind of AHA! extra that makes you wonder why nobody thought it years ago. But the pièce de résistance is its size: it actually FITS in the awkwardly-angled, horribly positioned USB port on the front of my computer. It's the first USB stick I've ever had that doesn't require me to crawl around on the floor in the dark behind the computer (or conduct UN-level negotiations with my USB hub and the computer to come to some sort of understanding) to get access to the files on the stick. And I don't have to worry about losing it: it comes with a ring to attach it to a keychain, and a lanyard for those who prefer to wear it around the neck. I am extremely happy. If I don't experience any of the durability issues others have had, I'm going to buy an entire set. Bye-bye long, elegant, professional-looking USB sticks! You've been replaced. Good but not quite what it says on the box I can't believe how the price of flash drives has dropped. I bought a 512k one just a little while ago and it cost £40. Now 2 GBs for under a tenner. The drive is amazingly small and compact - it should be useful if you're trying to squeeze it into a USB port that's in a cramped spot on your laptop. It seems fast enough to me. Now I use a Mac and all the supplied software is, as far as I can tell, completely useless. So I just dumped it and freed up a bit more space. The Amazon description isn't quite right - there are no coloured skins or lanyard. You just get the drive with its tight-fitting plastic cap. And although it sounds cheap, by the time you add VAT and postage and packing, the real bill came to £12.22. But I think it's well worth it. Tiny Big................ I don't usually feel moved to write reviews, so I'll make this quick. It is VERY small in size, and I keep it in my wallet (not around my neck or on my keyring - I would loose it too quickly!). It makes my Sony Micro Vault look like a brick. It holds all my teaching materials including film clips, mp3, Powerpoint presentations etc. I have never had a problem with speed, either writing or retrieving. I would be completly lost without it. So I bought two, and leave one at home as a backup. As far as I am concerned the only thing better would be when they bring out a 4GB version! Good initially, but casing lets it down I had the 1GB version of this Flash drive. It was great at first and was ideal for keeping data handy and transfering data from place to place. However, I kept it on my keyring, as most people do. The cap soon became loose fitting and was soon lost, followed by the casing sheath. Not long afterwards, the key ring loop on the end of the flash drive broke. I now have a flashdrive that works great but with no protectice sheath and no handy loop to keep it on my keyring. Not that handy or portable anymore.......!!!!! Submit Your ReviewTo submit your review of **SANDISK CRUZER MICRO 2GB you must first login / register.
