According to Acronis, their distributors have had Vista compatible versions for a while. I returned my copy to Amazon about 1 month ago as it was not Vista compatible and it looks as if the software still isn't! I wonder where Amazon are getting their copies from! Major problem!!! Do not buy if you are using dynamic disks under window-xp pro as the product can do nothing for you at all! The recomendation received from the supplier is to reformat the disks to standard partions (needing a reinstall of windows). Does exactly what is says I have sony vaio 100GB laptop which was partitioned with only 20GB on the C: drive which had slowed down dramatically with only 97mb free space on C: but 65GB free on D:. Very easy to use - select drive to increase free space - then drive to take free space from and select size. chose 40GB/60GB split. done in ten minutes. laptop running much much faster. Acronis, Disk Director Suite 10 My original C: drive had 20 GB assigned and after a year was reduced to 400 MB spare. I bought the Director Suite 10 (2005 edition) in order to re-partion my two hard drives, increasing the C: drive space. Acronis had stated this was XP compatable so I tried to load it and it failed because of the 64 bit system Ouch! However, I registered it on the Acronis site and up-dated (2007 edition). This loaded immediately, in 15 minutes I had resized 4 out of 6 partitions, committed the operation and after 10 minutes it completed!!! What a relief. This package is worth its weight, worked quickly and did exactly what it claimed -Thank Goodness. Recommended @ *****. Effortless! I have used Acronis software before. The outlook is excellent and you can make out it is a quality product. The ease and speed with which Acronis increased the size of my partition was simply amazing!
