Product ReviewsCustomers have given Nintendo DS Lite Handheld Console (White) an average customer review rating of 4.5 out of 5. The latest reviews have been displayed below. Get it if you don't mind having headaches I got this in 2005, a proper DS, not a DS lite. I love it, but there's only 1 complaint it gives you a headache after about 20 mins. I go on and off it, one time I'm using it a lot and then it lies in the cupboard for a few months. I love video games so I don't moan about the DS much. P.S. I want lots of fun language coach games for it, I like learning different languages. Fragile This is a fun handheld games console but is very fragile the games are quite expensive but the console it's self is a brilliant price. Disappointing. I got this handheld a while ago and eventually I couldn't use it. I went through 3 DS to fix the problem with it I had, and the problem was I had to press down really hard on the diagonals to make them respond. This wouldn't have been so bad, but it made my hand cramp up really badly. I persisted for a while with it thinking it may stop, but if anything it got worse. When it comes to 2D games, then you won't have this problem, but for Mario 64 DS, and Metroid Hunters, it will just make your hand ache in agony. I eventually sold my system with 3 games for £95. What was the point in keeping it when I couldn't use it? Also the games are ridiculously over priced. They're like 30 quid a pop, and you can buy new console games for only a little more, or used console games for cheaper! Another let down customer Like one of the other reviewers I saw on Dec 19th that this was in stock and available for next day delivery. I placed the order literally within seconds. Needless to say I now know the item was not really in stock - I got emails telling me it would be delivered before Dec 24th and then just before Xmas a message saying the supplier had let Amazon down and it would be arriving sometime in February. Lesson learnt Amazon - with no route to complain about an order placed when there was stock (I checked after placing the order and it was still showing as available) customers are forced to leave product feedback. I will continue to use Amazon for non-essential purchases. I trusted them to deliver and stopped my DS search believing I had bought an "in stock" item. Big mistake - made all the more annoying by Amazon's refusal to accept messages FROM customers - it only sends them out or lets you read FAQs. BEWARE NINTENDO DS USERS! You cannot fault the Nintendo DS for its design and gaming experience, except for one flaw. It's durability. I have had my Nintendo DS Lite for just over 12 months and hardly used it in that time, except to train my brain with Dr Kawashima. However, I am disappointed and annoyed that a crack has appeared in the hinge and a green dot on the touch screen, which is noticeable and distracting when playing games with dark images. It is literally just out of warranty and I will have to pay around half the price of a new DS to repair it. Ironically, the DS has not been man-handled but stored carefully in a carry case out of harm's way. So as a word of caution, keep your proof of purchase so you can claim under the 12 month warranty should you need to. Otherwise, happy gaming!
