Product DescriptionSeason two of the television phenomenon that is Lost is where the questions, in many senses, started to be asked. Picking up directly after that first season cliffhanger, it sets off at a belting pace, continuing the adventures of a group of people stranded on a desert island following a place crash. Only, as becomes increasingly clear, the island is a mysterious place, and the survivors appear not to be alone. In true Lost fashion, the second season of the show is far better at firing out fresh questions than resolving previous ones, although again, it delights in throwing out clues that the web-inclines can research across the legion of unofficial fan websites. For the viewer of the second series of Lost though, there's plenty to like, and plenty to tear their hair out over. On the downside, after an intriguing beginning, too much of the second series settles into a comfortable rhythm, conforming too rigidly to a recipe of plenty of backstory, and not too much advancement of the main narrative. It's a device that worked first time round, but becomes tiring during the saggy middle episodes. It's a fair argument too that things move far too slowly and for little good reason. The upsides? Again, quite a few. There's little doubt that the premise still holds intrigue, and the top and tail of season two are excellent. The last quarter, for instance, is both meaty and very entertaining, even offering clues to how the whole show may eventually end. So while even the Lost purest will surely conclude that season two is an uneven dish, there's still much to feast on, albeit with the hope that season three gets round to answering a few more question. Product ReviewsCustomers have given Lost - The Complete Second Season [2005] an average customer review rating of 4.5 out of 5. The latest reviews have been displayed below. A must watch... Lost was a very enjoyable series, and I am now enjoying Season 4. If you are new to lost, I recommend buying the box sets! I bought this item, and it took about 2 days to arrive. Very good service. Thanks Amazon! I finished watching the whole season in 2 days! Amazing series.. Getting better in each season and I can't wait to finish watching season 3! You will be impressed with the stories and quality of acting. Absolute pleasure.. A must for every LOST fan! The monster, the others and the hatch Anyone who followed Lost season 1 will want to know "what's down the hatch". Well, that would be telling, though if you buy this you'll know very quickly. The first few episodes of Season 2 are exceptionally well told and introduce the hatch. A plot device that runs throughout the season and really opens up the possibilities. Throughout the season you learn more about the island inhabitants and why the plane crashed. You meet new characters, see the monster and are treated to another cliffhanger (though this time not as compelling). However it's not all good. The flashbacks become annoying, not always adding to the story. There's a mid season dip and some characters are given dud storylines. Sadly we're not quite given enough answers this series and I know that turned many off, which is a shame as stick through to Season 3 and you learn far more. Lost is some of the best storytelling available and I highly recommend buying this if you like mysteries. It is only let down by the scope of the story and stretching out each series over 24 episodes when often 15 would be enough. Lost- The complete second series Do you have many boring weekends? Do you just sit around and wait for something interesting to happen? Well now all those boring weekends will go away. If you liked the first season of Lost, I can assure you the second is even better! As you might know, Lost is about a group of people stranded on an island after a plane crash. At first it is all chaotic and they don't know how to adapt in the wilderness. But after getting to know the place, homes are starting to get built and people are living their usuall lives in a different setting. What they discover on this island, is there are mysteries roaming the air. Some things don't seem right. All the questions they ask gradually get solved. But when everything seems to be right again, more questions arrive. In the ending of the first season of Lost, the survivors now know how to adapt in the wild. But in the second season, the survivors relize they aren't the only people on the island and those people aren't what you would call nice. But as the story goes on, the pieces of the puzzle are found and are put together. Some things make sense now but not every question does. The biggest question hasn't yet been solved, and you will only know if you follow along! So go tell all your friends about Lost and we hope your weekends won't go to waste. Defianlty put this in your basket! Always suprising and very high concept I've watched all 71 episodes filmed to date (1,2 and 3) and I still want to know more. I do not normally like TV series like this, especially American TV series like this (survivors on an island), BUT this is so much more than that and the characters are superbly fleshed out by the scripts. For anyone new to 'Lost' I would recommend you watch a run of shows. In each 42 minute segment (24 per series) there are 2 or 3 genuinely surprising twists which are not always macro-plot twists but often subtle changes to the personality of one of the protagonists which can be even more spellbinding. The whole show is very high concept: it sort of IS about survivors of a plane crash but also ISN'T. Questions such as what they're all doing there in the first place and who was there before them are just as key. And wait til you get to the first episode of series 3...
