Product ReviewsCustomers have given Apple iPod nano - 8GB - Black an average customer review rating of 4.0 out of 5. The latest reviews have been displayed below. i-pod nano review the i-pod nano is near perfect on the way it functions, ive had one for a week or something and it hasn't brocken in any noticable way..... however it does randomly freeze with no explanation and i thought that when that happened it was the end but actually you can reset it without much trouble just toggle the hold on and off and then press the menu and centre buttons for about 8 seckondez, peace out homedogz and keep it real on the flipside (cough) Nano-No I purchased an 8GB Nano in March, I was delighted. It is now September. It has ceased to function, it is no more - and the apple support system is useless - unless you have all the time in the world and nothing better to do. Don't buy!!!!! Although they do have a good quality of sound, I found my that my friends and me included noticed that our nano's broke down with in the year,i have had to have mine replaced at least three times and have decided not to buy another i pod again. I think that there are much better and cheaper options about the market rather than the unreliable nano!!!!! Good memory, but good product? When I got an iPod from my brother as a birthday present, I was very excited about the prospect of having all that music wherever I go. But as time went on, I learnt that you simply had to be a geek to be able to work the dambed thing. The speakers [which they claim are `the best quality ones`] were crackling and distorting after a while, and even after I switched them for a new set they were STILL distorting. I wanted to purchase some iTunes, but when I found out the cost, I wasn`t so keen and I thought I`d better stick to CDs which have cheaper songs [most of the time]. Then I discovered a way in which i could really use the iPod, and which saved it from a 2 star rating: you buy some rip-off cables, hook them up to your sterio, attach the iPod onto the other end and bob`s your unkle: you have thousends of songs playing randomly out of loud speakers; great right? Wrong. at first it was fun, but then once I got bored of the songs and tired of the dinky buttons i started putting CDs in because I couldn`t face the strain of messing about with it, or paying for more iTunes. Since then it has come to be a piece of modern day history, waiting for when I will become a nerd. I will say however that the memory is absolutley ginormus, which added the third star, but to tell you the truth if I were you, I`d save up to buy some CDs rather than this semi-waste of time. A great thing!! I bought the 8gb Ipod Nano to upgrade from my first generation 2gb as this did not have enough room for all the music I want to put on! I'm only just getting near filling about 3gb but am happy in the knowledge I have loads of space left for the lots of music I have yet to add in the future. I don't have any complaints whatsoever, the Ipod is the easiest thing in the world to use. Great stuff!!! Love it!
