Halo 3: Limited Collector's Edition (Xbox 360) (Video Game)

Halo Honest Review i was never a major Halo fan until i played this game, now i cant get enough. The game is fantastic, legendary will keep you going for ages, and the online is just fab. so 10/10 for me. but i must say the campaign level Cortana is the worst level of any game ive ever played what were they thinking

Good That is about as highly i can speak of this game, good graphics but not brilliant. very short but fun levels, stupid AI that sit running at walls and some that simply wont die no-matter how many sniper shots, rockets etc that hit them(very annoying)! Also the game overall is fairly short and legendary is not that legendary as it turns out to be fairly straight forward! mutlplayer is good but could do with some more maps. and one final thing that i really hate about this game is the interuptions during the game to listen to cortana and the gravemind, very very annoying and unneeded! average game, Halo 1 and 2 vastly superior in my mind!

You know what to expect. When I was a student me and my mates used to play Halo 1 & 2 on multi-player all the time. However I never really liked the campaign mode. I always thought it looked cartoonish and the enemies annoyed the hell out of me. They still do...especially those little pointy hat dudes. This one is darker and more fun. Anyways, I'm not a Halo geek and therefore don't really know or care about the story, also I couldn't care less what the names of each character are. I played this game with my mate on co-op first time round and we completed it after a couple of days...not constant play but a few hours at a time. I'm now pretty much done completing it on my own, I will say I agree with other reviewers when they say it's a short game. I pretty much never complete my games before I'm bored of them, however I'm on my second go round with this one. Multi player is same as ever and still rules more than the campaign. I've never used xbox live as I prefer to have real friends...plus I have a job and a girlfriend. I'm sure it's fun if you're 15 and spend your time eating crisps and have posters of wrestling on your walls. Worst bit is that you still sometimes end up going backwards in the game as there isn't always an arrow or some kind of obvious marker to tell you which direction to go in. Also the story scenes inbetween the action are terrible. At the end of the day Halo is just a game where you run around and shoot everything...there is no need for all the other junk. Worth waiting til price drops and also don't bother with special edition as it just has a tin case (which is pointless) and a geeky book in it. I didn't by this for myself so I didn't waste any money, it was a present.

Great game but dont buy I gave this game to my friend for christmas. We played it for about 6 hours and got a disk read error. We took the cd out of console and realised it hade huge cracks coming out of the inside of the disk. I have to say Amazon treated this situation fantastically and sent me a replacement and apology immediatly. However recieved the new disk opened it, looked at the disk and there was a huge gauge in the disk. I could not believe it as we really wanted to play it again. After speaking to a friend at work he told me about the collectors edition having many problems with scrathced disks. After telling amazon about my replacement they sent me an email saying they sincerly appologise and the following: "It seems that this problem is more widespread than we originally thought, so we are unable to send another replacement. We will investigate the matter and try to remedy the situation; however, we cannot guarantee when the error will be fixed." TO SUMMERISE: It is a fantastic game and i really stress how great it is. But it is not worth the hassle of the poor quality disks being sent. I stress it is not amazon's fault they are fantastic customer service. I reccomend you buy the original halo 3. Game 10/10 Packaging 1/10 This is a great game without a doubt, not as long as halo 2 and not quite as epic in feel, but none the less a really good game. The new vehicles are good, the graphics are very smart and the online features will keep you hooked long after you finish the game. Now if you like halo you are going to buy this game regardless of what I say, hence the short review, but I have a word of warning about this particular edition. I have gone through 2....yes 2!! copies of the collectors edition. The first arrived with a crack through the game disk and second only plays if you polish the disk for 10 minutes and even then its hit and miss. The problem is the cheap plastic spindles that hold the disk in the box, or rather don't hold the disk in the box. If your disk arrives loose I suggest you use an empty cd case to store the game as trying to put it back on the spindle may split the disk, also it will only work it's free and get scratched anyway. I have since managed to get myself a copy of the legendary edition which uses traditional dvd cases. I recommend the legendary if you want a collectors piece that lasts, that is if you can find one that isn't being scalped on ebay for £150. Basically the collectors edition looks great but is highly flawed and may see you returning the game before you've even played it.
