Product ReviewsCustomers have given Casio EX-Z1050 Digital Camera - Black (10.0MP, 3x Optical Zoom) 2.6" LCD an average customer review rating of 4.5 out of 5. The latest reviews have been displayed below. Fine for the first five months When I first purchased this camera I was so impressed with it-easy to use, great pictures etc etc,I told everyone how good it was.Now 7 months down the line it doesnt take photos in daylight-they are just white-and despite having a two year guarantee neither Casio or Amazon are interested in replacing it-even though it has been declared faulty by an independant camera store-or helping me out in any way.Dont even think about it!!!!!!!!!!1 Casio Exilim 1050 I've had a Casio 1050 for around 12 months. As a go anywhere compact 10mp camera it's smart and light and the best shot menu is useful.Images can be on the hard side and I'd rate it as quite good and o.k. for the price. I also have a Panasonic Lumix with a stunning leica lens and although it's only 6.1 mp, it knocks the Casio out for quality and clarity, which goes to show that it's not all down to megapixels but lens quality. Cracking little camera. My 4th digital camera and it gets the colours near to perfect. Good sharp photos - no complaints. Video on HQ settings is adequate but if you want good quality video then buy a dedicated camcorder. The device is smaller than I expected. If you've got big thick hands like me then beware - the on/off button is too small, the SET button requires fingernail action, the usb compartment is very very fiddely. I'm gonna have to order a spare battery because the 2.5 hour recharge isn't good enough. Negatives asides it does a grand job with point and shoot and am glad I bought it. great camera overall but pictures are flat My old Sony 3.2 megapixel Cybershot finally conked out after years of extensive service, and this camera was a significant upgrade. It truly is excellent in many areas, including picture quality, battery life, and startup time -- all of this from a camera that (finally!) really does fit in a shirt pocket. I have also found the camera to be very sensitive; it is able to take good pictures with very little light. There is one thing about the camera that is quite annoying, however, and that is that the pictures tend to be flat. Compared with the Sony I had, the colour isn't vivid, and the contrast isn't stark enough. As I have Adobe Photoshop, this isn't an insurmountable obstacle; I just edit my favourites. But I take a lot of photos, and more and more this is getting to be a real pain. My Sony definitely had other problems, mainly with startup time and battery life -- but when I have to buy my next camera, I might go back to them just for this reason. Great camera! Before buying this camera I looked through most of amazon, a digital camera magazine and anything else i could get hold of to find a compact digital camera that took good macro pictures and would be good for a complete novice for under £150. After about 5 hours of searching I found this camera and immediately wanted it. After looking at the reviews I ordered it and it came within 3 days (on free delivery!). I've had it for 2 days now and so far it's great. As other reviews have said it does have a slightly grainy screen but if you turn the quality onto fine its ok. With the 38 best shot modes a novice like me can take great looking pictures at the click of a button. The software provided makes it easy to put onto the computer and it also comes with a tv adapter which is great. All in all this camera is great for novices and produces great pictures.
