Product DescriptionDeveloper Bungie long ago promised that Halo 3 would be the last part in the story, but it's always been pretty obvious that they were only referring to Master Chief's initial confrontation with the Flood and Covenant. For now though the only indication of how the Halo universe will continue to evolve is this game: a console only real-time strategy game from Ensemble Studios, makers of Age of Empires. It's a little known fact that the original Halo, when it was still only a PC game, was actually envisioned and initially designed as a real-time strategy, so Halo Wars really isn't as much as a stretch as it may seem. The game's story takes place before that of the original Halo: Combat Evolved but involves versions of the familiar Halo vehicles from the dropships and Warthogs to the Covenant Banshees and Spectres. There are also many new vehicles as well though, such as the Hawk helicopter and Wolverine rocket tank. As with most real-time strategies you're also able to build your own buildings and support structures with which to recruit new soldiers and build new vehicles. A properly accurate and intuitive control system is always a problem for this sort of game on a console, but apparently that's one of the things Ensemble has spent the most amount of time on, with only the one analogue stick and four face buttons needed to control the whole game. One thing's for sure the Halo saga and universe has only just begun. Harrison DentImage GalleryClick on a thumbnail on the left to view a larger image on the right.

Product ReviewsCustomers have given Halo Wars (Xbox 360) an average customer review rating of 4.0 out of 5. The latest reviews have been displayed below. What a bunch of morons i read all your reviews and have come to the conclusion that your all so retarded seriously the people giving it 5 star reviews are just dumb cause i hasnt come out yet and alot of you are saying your evening the score when ther are clearly way more 5 star reviews than 1 star reviews what are you that crap at maths and the people giving it 1 star and saying i'm giving it 1 star because people are reviewing it before it comes out ur pretty dumb aswell cause thats exactly what your doing so i thought i'd just say that and i gave it three star so i'm not saying it's good or bad even though from what i've seen it's probs gnna be sick anyway peace people and stop ur retardedness NOt best PLeASeD When i came to review this i thought there would at least be a game to review, as there is no game I have to say i am disapointerd with this item, Dont buy!! I cant stress enough - you wont receive diddly squat - PeAcE oUt!£$% How Stupid The game has been delayed from somewhere in July to 5 days after Christmas? What kind of marketing company are they! And can you people please shut up, or stop typing rather because your doing my head in. TO EVERYONE Review what you want when you want! If its wrong then why are we aloud to do it?! awsome this game look great and the demo plays well. the released videos for it look brilliant cant w8 to get my hands on the real thing pity they keep moving the launch date back. WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU!? you hippocritical retards, don't say, "oh its just so wrong to review a game isn't out yet".....IN A REVIEW YOU'VE POSTED ON THE GAME. are you even there in the head at all!? if you really have a complaint about people reviewing it and desperatly want it to be known, then complain about those reviews in a comment, does that not make sense? And seriously, some of you i can see your point, making a review before its out isnt accurate at all...but seriously...enough of the hippocrasy. Anyway, guess i should actually say something about the game since i'm reviewing it...even if it is just to shout you all down. Well the game doesnt look too bad, in-game graphics arent fantastic, but it's an RTS so thats about right. Not sure if it'll work seamlessly, but they built it ground up for the console so should be alright. Not sure how much play will be gotten from this game...particularly of its not multiplayer online, but it should be so all'll be fine. I don't think it'll be great, its definatly not going to be a top 360 game, but it shouldn't be too bad.
