Silverlit PicooZ Helicopter Sky Challenger Set (2 Pack) (Toy)

Great Fun for any age! I bought these helicopters at the beginning of september and didn't open the package untill Christmas day as it was a present from my Grandma! Christmas day came and I was very eager to get them flying. I had already bought 12 AA rechargeable batteries but didn't realise that they needed charging right after purchase, so this meant that I needed to wait almost 24 hours for all the batteries to charge! It's now the day after boxing day and finally all the battries are charged, I charged the helicopters and challenged my brother to a battle! The problem was, we were enjoying it so much that we forgot to shoot each other out of the sky! Controlling Getting the helicopter off the ground and adjusting the high is easy enough, but when it comes to turning left and right that is when it gets a little tricky. I discoverd that when you turn to the right, the helicopter will move forward and kind of to a large circle. When you turn left the helicopter will just turn on the spot and neither goes forwards or backwards. Durable It's very durable, they have each suffered lots of crashes in the short time I've had them and the only thing that needs adjusting every so often is the trimming, which prevents the helicopter to turn left or right when you don't want them to! Educational I've knocked a star off this because there isn't much you can learn from flying these helicopters. But if you really wanted to learn about how things work, then I think this is a good place to start. Overall I think this is a great toy to have any time of the year. I did get a few funny looks from my girlfriend and my parents when I told them I wanted a pair of remote controled helicopters, but they seem to be enjoying them as much as I am!

Great fun for the price!! I purchased these for my nephew for xmas and obvioulsy I had to give them a trial run. My intention was to give them a quick go and then wrap them up. Im now logging on to buy more as myself and my partners daughter (aged 7) can't put them down. Yes they are fragile and yes you will be buying replacement tail rotors but what do you really expect for £13 each? Anyhow these things fly!!! My only complaint is that they only last 5 mins before the charge wears out but on the plus side they only take 10-15 mins to charge. Also the shooting aspect is not all that as the infra-red beem bounces off the walls and you can hit each other from anywhere. I guess a bigger space than my living room is needed. Dont think about buying them just do it!!!

It might be fun, but probably not for long... Although we have had repeatedly bad experiences with RC items (daleks that didn't work out of the box, RC Cars that never worked, most other RC items last not much longer than a week or 2 before they break or die), our son really wants these copters, so we gritted our teeth and went ahead. We should have heeded to our instincts. The first set had a controller that refused to charge the copters. We returned it and got another set. This one has copters that fly but unfortunately the shooting mechanism doesn't work (tried everything); they shoot but they never stop the other copter. Now they've gone back for good. They are undoubtedly very clever little beasts but if you do end up with a pair that work initially, you'll be lucky if they last a month, I suspect.

No staying power A great idea, and it was huge fun for about 2 weeks. BUT then the tail rotor needed replacing and in the removal and refitiing procedure suddenly it didn't rotate at all. So one helicopter down... The next one lasted about a month longer. I don't think that's value for money. Toys like scaletrix and lego still work after 20 years!

Very Cool! These two helicopters are brilliant i stood on one the day after i recieved them, and to be honest i found it increadably easy to fix. after straightening the roter axl and putting the thing back together i could barely tell the difference. mine are still going now even 3 and a half months later, tho i cant help but wander if i should move on to an X gyrator or a 3 channel... i would however rate the single one of these as they are a little easyer to control, and do not waight them until you have got to grips with them!
