MOVING AND SCARY AT TIMES The background music is wonderful and provides the ambience for this very moving film of love and revenge. Edward Norton and Naiomie Watts are perfect in this film. The chemistry is there!! Shows what can happen when someone is so in love they are entrapped by feelings (very dangerous). I would recommend this film to anyone who is a hopeless romantic.. Classically wonderful! Very moving and touching. I couldn't see my boyfriend watching this film but for anyone who appreciates a heartbreaking story then i recommend The Painted veil. Abysmal I had to force myself to watch this to the end. Beautiful cinematography, excellent story but just didnt do it for me The Painted Veil Since I first heard about this film I knew I just had to have it! I've watched it a couple of times now and I know I'll watch it many more. This is a wonderful film. The acting is brilliant - I just love Edward Norton, he's such a versatile and talented actor! The scenery is stunning and the music is lovely. I won't say anything about the storyline as a lot of people have already commented on it. Suffice to say this is a must have for anyone who enjoys period drama. Not enough movies like this one I will admit reading the back cover i had my doubts but being a true period film fan i gave it a shot and i wasn't dissapointed in the least. The film is moving, the acting is superb and the scenery is breathtaking. And with a substantial view of edward nortons behind how can you go wrong.
