Product ReviewsCustomers have given Call of Duty 4 (Xbox 360) an average customer review rating of 4.5 out of 5. The latest reviews have been displayed below. Far too much undeserved praise for a very short and average FPS This review is for single player only. I would like to know the answer to one question: how has this game got such great reviews? I'm not kidding when I say free demos of games used to be as long as this £40 - £50 game. What do you get for your money? Well obviously not a lot. And it could have been even shorter were it not for a few tricks the developers appear to have got away with. Like for instance on one particular map the mission was to run to the top of a hill (no idea why) lob 3 or 4 explosives out of a barn window, and then run all the way back down the very same hill. Hilarious! Another trick the developers used to avoid making a decent number of maps was to set certain missions at night and then re-use the very same map but this time during the day. Lol! I also find it a cheap trick to put count-down timers on maps to create excitement and tension. If a game is good it doesn't need this contrived nonsense. Apart from the graphics, which are good and on a par with many modern games, COD 4 has not developed since COD 2 and lags miles behind innovative games such as Rainbow 6 and Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter. I've got to wonder what on earth was the point of being part of a team when there was no actual interaction or control over those team mates? Baffling. Finally setting COD4 in modern times was just one more slight of hand trick. It gave the game a veneer of newness where there was none whatsoever. COD 4 is not terrible, sometimes it`s fun. It's just nothing new, or innovative or exceptional. Just one more samey FPS. I SHOULD KNOW...! Fantastic game. Definately the most played game in my rack still. This game is a mainly online game but all achievements are for single player, which I prefer (as I got this game when I didn't have xbox live and got 1000/1000g from it). The online games are great! The online ranking system is greater and extreamly addictive. Maps have been sculpted to perfection and have been realy thought through. If you and your mates all get this game you'll be playing it for years to come as I got this game when it came out and I am still playing it! It's and xbox 360 must buy. Brilliant I have just bought this for me x box 360 and is absolutely brilliant. I love the fact there is a varity in the missions whether it be from been a sniper,to blowing the hell out of tanks with rpg's,and sneaking through miltary bases. Graphics are top notch and game play is cool. Cannot fault this game at all has kept me well entertained while i have been off work the last week. one of the best games of all time! dont read anyones comment who doesnt give this game a 5 star rating. the graphics in this game is the best iv seen in a FPS. the variation of the maps and missions keeps u hooked. and the online play beats any game hands down, it is sooooo addictive. bring on COD 5- world at war!!!!!!!!! xxx It was too easy I don't claim to be brilliant at these games. Men of Valor on the old xbox took me what felt like an eternity to complete and I hoped that this title would be equally as challenging. However, it took such a short time to complete. My expectations were for this to be far more difficult and challenging to get to the end. It wasn't. I felt a bit let down it. I hope the next offering in this series will be better Submit Your ReviewTo submit your review of Call of Duty 4 (Xbox 360) you must first login / register.
