Product ReviewsCustomers have given Windows Vista, Business Edition with Service Pack 1 (PC) an average customer review rating of 2.5 out of 5. The latest reviews have been displayed below. Vista: The perfect scam for Microsoft. "Vista" is in fact Spanish for "Sight", and is ironically a sight downhill for Microsoft. Releasing such an incompatible, incomplete and error infested camaraderie of utter garbage into the OS market must have took some balls I tell you! I raise many question's, however, "How is it possible for an OS released 8 years after Windows 98 to be slower than Windows 98 itself" is in fact the most obvious. Such a question remains rhetorical, since in fact it would be wide of the mark to have to even waste my time to answer. However, this is Microsoft we are dealing with, and therefore the answer itself is actually "Microsoft". Vista: This was Microsoft's cheap and pathetic plot to drain as many pennies out of poor individuals who rely on computers for their everyday life - making it a perfect scam for Microsoft. An upgrade from it's talented brother XP, Vista, after 2 years of updates and efforts to fix, still remains enormously unstable. In fact folks, it would actually seem that Microsoft purposely releases Vista updates which are specifically designed to make it even worse! When i first purchased Vista, it ran fine, reasonably fast...however after installing "recommended" updates using "automatic fail-dates" rendered my Vista the following: Incompatible with most of my drivers (which previously worked), unstable when booting, slow when booting, prone to crashing every few seconds and finally (if I've not already listed enough) unable to run more than 2 programs at once [which was a task doable on Windows 95 with under 56MB of RAM] - what a joke!!! Attempting to run Firefox and a game at the same time destroys Vista down to its pathetic little knees and it cry's much like a little pathetic baby... It would seem folks that Windows 7 is a fixed Vista, but with the price tag, which of course makes me want to spit in the face of that CEO even more. I am not a Microsoft hater, since I was a fan of XP. However, I have now moved onto Linux Kubuntu and never looked back. May I also add that all Linux OS's are both free and supported and very stable. Changing from Windows to Linux may seem like changing from using your right hand to you left if your right handed, but after some time, you will get use to the change, and of course then being advantageous in that you'll be talented in using more than one OS ;) Please people, do not even imagine buying Vista now, unless of course your just oblivious to my (and others) review, or your just plain dumb :P Goodluck ;) Just when I thought it couldn't get any worse I liked Windows XP and when I installed Vista I was very disappointed. I was hoping that Windows 7 would be an improvement, but its not. It has a lot of features that look good initially but serve no real purpose in day to day use. My laptop seemed slower than usual, and froze up 3 times in one day (something its never done before). I have finally had enough of Windows and have bought a Macbook. I've not had the Mac very long but already I can see why Mac owners are so smug. Why did I waste all those years with Windows? How does Microsoft get away with it ???? I have used XP pro for years , and it was pretty reliable. Then I had to buy a new laptop which came with Vista installed upon it .. after 6 months of using Vista it all i can say is " WHAT A NIGHTMARE " I won't go into it other than saying I have spent hours re-installing and de-installing upgrades, patches, fixes over and over again , if this was a brand new car, Microsoft would be forced by government to do a worldwide re-call because it is not of merchantable quality and it is barely fit for purpose, I hope somebody someday sues them on those grounds.. I hope I have made myself clear. How do they get away with it ? Terrible.. Slow and frustrating! I bought this product so I could upgrade to windows 7 from it. As far as concerned that served its purpose. However, as for Vista. The only reason I ever used it was to be able to use DX10. apart from that I tried to stick with Windows XP. Xp is far quicker and better at what it does. Vista still makes you choose between 32bit and 64bit purchasing. The load times are abismal and new layout can be hard at times. But once you get used to this its tolerable, besides the fact its so slow it takes you so long to use the features. Do yourself a favour and just buy Windows 7 even if it is in its infancy... Virus Vista This Microsoft operating system has convinced me to go to mac. They have been going downhill after 98se, and once that was out of support, i decided to try Vista. What can i say? It's all looks and no trousers. Takes up a load of my RAM just to look pretty, which is what I don't want. I just want it to work, but it even finds browsing the web a challenge, never mind, actually begin to do some serious music production. It's over priced and has proven in my mind, that Microsoft no longer have the edge.
