Product ReviewsCustomers have given Just Cause 2 (PS3) an average customer review rating of 4.0 out of 5. The latest reviews have been displayed below. Great game, some minor issues I played the demo before buying, and that was simply awesome for 30 minutes. I have now got the full version, and it is great, with the addition of a bigger map with airports, more places to blow up, and more missions. But there are a few issues: -The graphics are disappointing, definitely not as good as some recently released games, but this could be excusible due to the huge gaming landscape -The game can become a bit repetitive after a while, with not as much variation between missions as I'd like Other than those small issues, this is a great game well worth buying, and good fun especially when you play with others. Excellent! Just Cause 2 is a massive game. There is no denying that. So, there is always something to do and on top of that, there is a huge story; after 17 hours of gameplay, it's only 15% complete. This is truely a free-roam game! There is a huge varitey of vehicles, including 4x4s, Tanks, Helicopters, Planes, Motorbikes and Boats. One of the best things about the game is just going around and just 'blowing stuff up'. The Grapple Hook is also a great feature; you can not only use it in combat in a manner of ways but it wakes it very easy to scale buildings and get around quickly. However, there are quite a few flaws. A very minor one is the number of weapons...there are very few. Also, the voice acting is appauling and the story is, well, quite terrible; very B-Movie, and any gun will make your enemy fly backwards (no matter from what angle you shoot them from). But the biggest of all flaws is the graphics. As it is a multi-platformer, the graphics don't show what the PS3 is capable of. Despite this, it is an addicting and fun game...just, don't take it seriously. awesome this game is just awesome. the graphics are brilliant, the physics are clever and the gameplay is immense. there is an in-game video recorder built in, and if you have an internet connection, you can upload it straight to youtube. the map is huge, and for a map this size, the graphics are not limited, in fact, they are better than most of the games i've seen. the use of the parachute and the grapple is incredibly fun. this game is a mix of gta4, gta san Andrea's, cod, and the original just cause game. i would recommend this game to anyone. This game is so much fun! I got this game for my birthday and I have been really impressed with the fun and humour in the gamhave sat for the last 6 hours playing it with a silly smile on my face. I have to confess that I haven't completed the game but this review has been written to share the sheer joy that this game will bring. One key thing is to set your upscaler to the maximum setting on this game (this needs to be done in game settings in the xmb)as there is a line that travels across the screen if this isn't set which is really distracting! To start with, this game is HUGE! I am agog at how big this game is. Everybody else has mentioned it, but I didn't appreciate how big this game is. To walk across the map would take hours...even crossing in a helicopter took 20 minutes! Unlike GTA IV you can go anywhere and do anything (there are no road blocks stopping you). It is up to the player to explore the island and find out what is out there. It appears that you can not go into buildings (I may be wrong) you can ride every vehicle and use any found weapons. The cool thing about this game is the use of the grappling hook. This extends around 400m and can be used to rappel up and across buildings, to pull statues over, pull enemies off their feet and to move quickly across the map. This is used with the parachute to allow the player to fly and move around quickly. There is a wealth of things to do and ways of achieving them. One thing I loved was when an Appache Helicopter attacks you, unlike GTA IV where you would use a rocket launcher, in this game you rappel up to the helicopter and throw the pilot out!! I may update this review when I have finished the story mode of the game, but I think that there may be a long way to go as this game is not completable in a few hours, but I will say this is a bloody great game. I am not fond of the GTA games, but this is like GTA and Spiderman and Arkham Asylum all mixed together! You will love this!! Great fun at first, but flawed For the first couple of hours you play this game, you will think it is the greatest game ever made. It feels like the immensely fun sandbox experience that GTAIV should have been, but wasn't. A gigantic open world where you can drive, fly, sail, shoot and hook anything. The first time that you parachute out of a huge military base having reduced it to a smoking ruin is deeply satisfying. The vast island of Panau looks gorgeous and is full of variety, from snowy mountains to jungle deltas. But after those first few hours, you get bogged down in badly designed, frustrating missions that look very much like the twenty or so you have already completed. You start to realise that the controls are not precise enough for the tasks you are required to do. And blowing up petrol stations and army bases stops being satisfying and becomes a real chore, particularly when the flawed mission checkpoints often force you to do it all over again if you die. I ordered this game after playing the fantastic demo, but the game itself doesn't live up to the expectations which the demo set.
